Can't Get Enough!

Today we reluctantly say goodbye to our new friends up in the French Pass. Driving out we encounter clear skies and absolutely breathtaking views of the Sounds and bays that were cloaked in fog when we arrived.








We snap photos over and over unable to get enough (and in hopes of indelibly imprinting it in our minds!)







Driving back, we end up just east of Havelock where we check in to the Smiths Family Farm campground. Barbara greets us with genuine warmth and fresh-homemade-and-still-warm banana muffins (no kidding!).


Smiths Farm Banana Muffins:

125g of butter
175g sugar
2 eggs
2 mashed bananas
1 tsp baking soda
2 tbsp boiling milk
1 tsp baking powder
225g flour
1 tsp vanilla essence

**Dissolve the baking soda in the milk. Melt the butter and add to all the other ingredients. Mix well. Place spoonfuls in a greased muffin tray and bake for approximately 20 minutes at 350degrees**


After doing laundry and catching up with the news, we head out back through their farmland and follow a well marked trail up to their nearby waterfall.
