The Photo Montage

When a movie uses a photo montage sequence, it never fails to drive me batty. "Laziness!" I cry out. "What a cop out!" It seems to me to always comes across as cheesy and kitchy and while trying to illustrate depth-fullness and richness of time/experience/etc., it actually does the exact opposite. The photo montage is an eye roller.

Yes, this is going exactly where you think it is......

And yes, it is lazy.
