Maybe we should have known something when we showed up and they only had ONE room left. Just for us, it seems. Little did we know how lucky we were. I think they call it the Requa Inn because it's a REQUISITE that you stay there when driving along the coast.
Jenn's words — I have such as crush on this place!
It truly is the best place we've stayed at on our west coast trip. Reweti, the inn keeper is originally from New Zealand (from Hawke's Bay, one of our favourite parts!) and his Klamath born wife Geneva (along with her parents) own this incredible place. The hotel is in an historic old building right on the river where spotting bears, coyotes, and seals is commonplace. Warm fresh baked cookies, locally sourced food and wine, and a fun and friendly atmosphere? We're in!
We enjoy a fantastic organic dinner and then start the following day with a breakfast that beats all breakfasts (and the photo is not even showing the nutmeg and vanilla bean pancakes, the steel cut oatmeal or the fluffy scrambled eggs!)
Had they not been booked solid (for, like, the next 3 months!) we would have happily stayed another night. So, some advice.....make sure you call ahead!!
